Job summary

Solterra Academy in New Britain, CT is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist to provide individualized therapy services to students with complex needs. You will collaborate with clinicians, teachers, administration, and support staff to implement IEP goals and track progress in SMART format, focusing on gross motor skill development.

The role requires CT licensure, a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy (Master's preferred), 1+ year experience with children, CPR within 90 days, and CPI certification

Qualifications

• CT licensure in Physical Therapy required.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PT program required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare students' individual goals and objectives in SMART format.
• Implement the IEP as approved by the PPT.
• Develop system to track student progress on IEP goals.
• Submit report card narratives and IEP progress marks by due dates, proofing and editing as needed.
• Prepare for and participate in PPT's.
• Screen, identify, diagnose, intervene, and follow-up for gross motor disorders.
• Conduct triennial assessments and produce thorough reports within timelines.
• Develop written treatment plans and differentiate gross motor instruction.
• Collaborate with families and care providers to implement home programs and training.
• Complete all necessary BIRs and Restraint/Seclusion Documentation.
