Job summary

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is seeking a Physical Therapist to support River Street Schools and Programs in Bloomfield/Windsor, CT. This part-time/per diem role focuses on assessment, planning, and collaboration on IEP goals for students across multiple sites.

The PT will provide educationally relevant interventions, communicate with teachers and families, and document services and billing where required. CT license and school-setting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Two years' experience in physical therapy, preferably in a school setting.
• Current Connecticut PT license.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan therapy interventions for students.
• Evaluate PT needs using appropriate tests and observations.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop IEP goals.
• Document therapy services, notes, and IEPs; assist with Medicaid billing when required.
• Maintain and submit time records for billing and projects.
• Coordinate with other therapists and school staff for interventions.
• Attend meetings and participate in professional development.
• Monitor equipment; order supplies and manage inventory.
