Job summary

Soliant is seeking a full-time school-based Occupational Therapist to support students ages 3–21 across a cluster of 6–7 schools in the southwest Houston area. The role is based at the district office with a consistent 37.5-hour week and travel between sites to build caseload continuity.

Requirements include an active Texas OT license, school-based experience, and readiness for ARDS, SHARES/Onward software use, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license.
• School-based or pediatric OT experience preferred.
• Texas state background check and fingerprinting required.
• Experience conducting evaluations and ARDS meetings.
• Familiarity with SHARES or Onward software, or willingness to learn.
• Strong time management and independent working ability.
• Candidates must not be former employees of this district or have been terminated from any school district.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of ~70 students; ~30–40 receive direct therapy (not weekly for all).
• Coordinate/perform OT assessments for students from preschool to young adult.
• Participate in ARDS and collaborate with educators and families to ensure IEP effectiveness.
• Maintain detailed records using district software and Excel logs.
• Provide treatment as lead OT with no COTA support.
• Travel between assigned schools within a dedicated geographic area.
