Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a school-based occupational therapist to support PreK–12 students near Newark, CA. This contract role offers collaboration with dedicated school staff and the chance to impact student participation in daily activities.

You will manage a caseload of 67 students with a mix of direct and consultative services, working across mild to complex disabilities and applying evidence-based interventions in an educational setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in California required.
• Experience in educational/school settings preferred.
• Ability to manage a diverse PreK–12 caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in student IEPs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and adapt interventions as needed.
