Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students in a vibrant school setting near Swansea, SC. You will assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy to help children achieve educational milestones.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and professionals to document progress and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. This contract role offers a structured schedule aligned with school calendars.

Qualifications

• Active SC OT license or eligibility to obtain.
• NBCOT certification required or preferred.
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEPs and related documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students’ motor skills, sensory needs, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals in collaboration with school teams.
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Provide direct interventions that facilitate students’ participation and success across various school activities.
• Educate and collaborate with teachers and family members to support carryover of therapeutic strategies in different settings.
• Stay current with best practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements for school-based OT.
