Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a contract role in a supportive school setting in South Carolina. You will assess students, deliver targeted interventions to improve fine motor and sensory processing, and support daily living skills to help them reach their potential.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff, document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and adapt materials to ensure accessible learning environments while maintaining compliant

Qualifications

• Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred
• Strong understanding of OT best practices and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
• Compassionate communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
• Organizational skills to efficiently manage caseload and documentation

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and deliver targeted interventions to enhance students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
• Write and maintain accurate, timely reports and student progress notes
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
• Consult with educators and families regarding strategies to support student success in the classroom
• Adapt and modify materials and environments to promote accessibility and participation
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary to support student growth
