Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students in a Stony Creek, VA area school-based setting. This full-time, onsite contract focuses on helping children reach independence through targeted OT services.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to assess needs, develop individualized plans, and monitor progress across the academic year, ensuring meaningful participation for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred.
• Strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families.
• Clear communication and documentation abilities.
• Adaptability, creativity, and a child-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs.
• Conduct assessments to determine students' functional abilities within the academic setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
• Deliver interventions in both individual and group settings, as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing student goals and objectives.
• Document therapy sessions, maintain compliance records, and communicate student progress.
• Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate OT strategies and supports.
• Serve as a resource for families and educators on student needs and accommodations.
