Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students in a North Haven, CT school setting. This contract-based role emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals to promote independence and life skills in students.

The ideal candidate holds an OT license in CT or eligibility, with experience in schools or pediatric populations, and strong skills in assessments, IEP alignment, and interdisciplinary communication.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in CT or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong assessment and intervention skills tailored to diverse student needs
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Dedication to ongoing professional growth and evidence-based practice

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students using standardized tools and clinical observations to determine areas for support and growth
• Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and interventions for students with a range of abilities
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into classrooms and daily routines
• Document services, progress, and recommendations in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
• Provide input during IEP meetings and contribute to the overall success of student education plans
• Participate in team meetings and share expertise to support a positive and inclusive learning environment
