KIPP New Orleans Schools seeks an Occupational Therapist who helps students with disabilities participate meaningfully and independently in learning and school life, collaborating with families, educators, and other service providers.

This role blends direct therapy, consultation, and staff coaching to support inclusive learning environments across KNOS campuses; you will evaluate needs, design interventions, collect progress data, and contribute to IEP teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in occupational therapy or related field meeting Louisiana licensure.
• Current Louisiana OT license and NBCOT certification.
• Knowledge of pediatric development and school-based OT and the IEP process.
• Ability to connect assessment findings to measurable goals and use data to evaluate progress.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct initial evaluations and reevaluations to identify needs affecting participation.
• Assess fine motor and visual motor skills, sensory processing, access to classroom tools, and self-care routines.
• Develop measurable, educationally relevant goals and recommend services, accommodations, and supports based on student needs.
• Provide individual, small-group, classroom-based, and consultative OT services aligned with IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to embed effective strategies.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, service logs, progress reports, and IEP documentation; protect confidentiality.
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional learning, and team planning.
