KIPP New Orleans Schools seeks an Occupational Therapist who helps students with disabilities participate meaningfully in learning and school life. Working with students, families, educators, and other service providers, the OT identifies barriers to participation and delivers evidence-based services that build functional skills and improve access to instruction, school routines, and activities.

This role blends direct therapy, consultation, and staff coaching to help students apply skills

Qualifications

• Licensure as Occupational Therapist in Louisiana and eligibility requirements.
• Knowledge of school-based OT and IEP processes.
• Ability to connect assessments to measurable goals and progress.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage priorities across school teams.

Responsabilités

• Conduct initial evaluations and reevaluations to identify needs affecting participation.
• Assess fine motor, sensory processing, and school routines; inform decisions.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to set measurable goals and recommended services.
• Deliver direct, group, and consultative OT services; train staff on adaptive tools.
• Maintain documentation, prepare progress reports, and protect confidentiality.
