Job summary

CREC is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) to evaluate and plan IEP goals for students at River Street School in Windsor. The OT will provide intervention services across diverse educational settings and collaborate with educators to enhance student participation and learning.

The role involves data collection, progress reporting, and coordination with families. Travel between sites and professional development are expected duties within a supportive CREC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current NBCOT certification and CT license.
• Two years of pediatric/school OT experience preferred.
• Knowledge of school-based service delivery models and evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Complete screenings, evaluations, and develop measurable goals.
• Communicate evaluation results to staff, parents, students, and others.
• Document therapy services, progress notes, IEPs, and Medicaid billing when required.
• Maintain time records for billing of travel, direct/indirect services, and projects.
• Collaborate with professionals and supervise OTAs when assigned.
• Provide consultation to schools/districts on OT needs.
• Attend meetings and participate in professional development.
