Job summary

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) to evaluate students and contribute to IEP goal development at River Street School in Windsor, CT. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student participation and learning.

Responsibilities include screenings, progress documentation, data collection, and coordinating therapeutic interventions across educational settings.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current NBCOT certification and CT State license required.
• Two years of pediatric experience preferred, especially in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate students; develop measurable educational goals.
• Communicate results to educators, parents, and other professionals.
• Document therapy services and Medicaid billing when applicable.
• Maintain time records for billing; manage supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with staff; provide consultation on OT interventions.
• Attend meetings and participate in in-service training.
• Supervise OT staff or fieldwork where assigned.
