Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a contract assignment in a school setting near Burkeville, VA, supporting students' growth from August 12 through May 21. The role focuses on assessments, therapy planning, and collaborative implementation within classrooms to foster student progress.

Responsibilities include coordinating with teachers and families, participating in IEP meetings, and documenting progress to ensure skills transfer and meaningful outcomes for students

Qualifications

• Must have Virginia OT license or be eligible to obtain one.
• School-age/pediatric experience is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ strengths and challenges.
• Develop and execute evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom.
• Engage with families, offering guidance to support skill generalization at home.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to team decisions.
• Monitor progress through regular documentation and adjust interventions as needed.
• Promote independence and participation in school routines to support academic and social success.
