Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be NBCOT-certified as an Occupational Therapist (OTR).
• Eligible for Virginia licensure through the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• At least one year of practical OT experience in education is preferred.
• Experience using technology in education and Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and coursework.
• Ability to foster an inclusive learning environment and collaborate with school teams.
• Ability to gather and assess outcomes data and modify services accordingly.
• Ability to maintain documentation, scheduling, and billing per standards.
• Ability to interpret evaluation data and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy to improve student participation and performance.
• Collaborate with school-based teams to support educational access for students with disabilities.
• Consult with staff and families; coach for environmental adaptations and assistive tech.
• Monitor, reassess, and modify intervention plans; document services for accountability.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistant in accordance with laws and policies.
