Job summary

Academy for Young Minds (AYM) in Long Island City, NY seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our state-of-the-art classrooms. You will collaborate with other disciplines, review outcomes, and tailor interventions for students with disabilities.

The ideal candidate has NBCOT-accredited training, NY OTR/L licensure, and pediatric school-based experience. Monday–Friday schedule with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an NBCOT-recognized OT program and NY OTR/L licensure.
• One year of pediatric school-based OT experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to plan individualized interventions.
• Assess student needs and document progress in IEP-related reports.
• Develop and implement IEP-aligned occupational therapy plans.
• Maintain confidential records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Deliver therapy sessions and monitor student progress weekly.
