Job summary

Greece Central School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students district-wide (K‑12+) with evaluations, treatment planning and evidence-based interventions. The ideal candidate holds a NYS OT license or Limited Permit, has experience with students with disabilities, and can collaborate with teachers and families.

This 10-month, 7-hour paid day position emphasizes ongoing professional development, CPI/TCI familiarity, and commitment to equity in education.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid NYS Education Department license and currently registered as an Occupational Therapist; OR a Limited Permit to practice Occupational Therapy.
• Experience with students with disabilities and understanding of child development preferred.
• Certification in CPI and/or TCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, reevaluations and consultations including standardized measures.
• Determine service recommendations based on student needs and modify as appropriate.
• Develop a treatment plan based on assessment findings with measurable goals.
• Write and obtain referrals for Medicaid‑compliant services signed by a physician or NP.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment and interventions to students district-wide (K‑12+) in various settings.
• Act as a consultant to provide strategies for classroom teachers.
• Document evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries per NYS, District and Medicaid regulations.
• Provide training on adaptive devices and sensory strategies to staff.
• Collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, families and other staff regarding students' needs.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain daily schedule per district guidelines.
• Assist in requesting orders for supplies and equipment and pursue professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.
