Job summary

Woodford County Public Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students with IEP goals and related services on site. You will evaluate students, prepare reports and participate in ARC meetings to guide IEP development and service delivery.

The role requires collaboration with school staff, parents and the community, adherence to confidentiality, and the ability to manage responsibilities including Medicaid-related duties.

Qualifications

• Valid license for Occupational Therapist by the Kentucky Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse backgrounds.
• Adherence to confidentiality policies.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, community, parents and children.
• Must pass health examination and be able to lift student’s equipment.
• No immoral or criminal history.
• If hired on or after April 15th, 2022, a degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates students, prepares written reports and interprets results at ARC meetings.
• Active participant in ARC meetings for IEP goals and service delivery.
• Implements related services as indicated on each student’s IEP.
• Collects data on student progress and IEP goals for annual ARC reviews.
• Fulfills Medicaid requirements for the district to qualify as a Medicaid Service Provider.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
