Job summary

Mason County Schools in the district-wide OT program seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead development, implementation, and coordination of the district's occupational therapy services for students with disabilities.

You will screen, evaluate, and support students with individualized plans, collaborate with teachers and families, supervise OT assistants, and document progress in accordance with district policies and FERPA.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational therapy theories, models and evidence-based practice.
• Experience with school-based OT services and pediatric populations.
• Familiarity with FERPA, Section 504, and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates the district's OT program.
• Screens, evaluates, and plans educational therapy for students.
• Collaborates with staff to interpret student performance and needs.
• Documents OT services and maintains records per policies.
• Supervises OT Assistants as needed.
• Plans continuing education for staff, parents, and students.
• Keeps current with best practices through professional development.
