Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking an Occupational Therapist in Special Education - Related Services to deliver direct therapy and consult with school teams to support students with disabilities.

You will evaluate students, develop individualized goals, participate in ARD meetings, and collaborate with teachers, families, and related services to promote participation and functional performance in daily school activities, using assessment results, planning, and evidence-based intervention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license to practice in Texas.
• 1 year pediatric required; 3 years pediatric preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides direct therapy and consultative services to students with physical and/or developmental disabilities in the school setting.
• Collaborates with school-based teams and ARD committees to set goals and interpret assessment data.
• Maintains program records, assessments, and equipment; documents services for reimbursement and accountability.
• Educates students, school personnel, and families to promote skills in occupational performance and health maintenance.
