Job summary

Soliant is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students in a school setting near Gloucester, VA. This contract position offers a three-day work week, focusing on improving access, participation, and success in classroom activities.

You will deliver direct and consultative OT services, collaborate with teachers and families, and document progress according to school guidelines. Prior school-based experience and IEP familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapy license
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
• Proven ability to manage middle/high school caseloads
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with IEPs, goal writing, and therapy progress tracking
• Flexibility to meet diverse student and school needs

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to improve students’ access, participation, and success in school activities
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students across a range of needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff for integrated student support
• Document progress and maintain accurate records per guidelines
• Engage in IEP meetings and provide expertise for educational planning
• Support students in fine motor, self-regulation, sensory processing, and life skills as needed
