Job summary

ABC Therapy seeks a licensed School Based Occupational Therapist to work in educational settings across Medina, Summit, and Cuyahoga Counties. The role involves delivering direct and consultative therapy to school-aged children, with supervision of assistants and collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators.

The position offers in-person, Monday–Friday hours with flexible schedule options and compensation from $39 to $48 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed occupational therapist with NBCOT certification and state license.
• Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Clear background check and strong communication skills.
• School or pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of students for school performance.
• Provide direct and/or consultative therapy to school-aged students.
• Supervise therapy assistants and collaborate with teachers and parents.
• Participate in ETR and IEP meetings and document outcomes.
• Develop individualized intervention plans and monitor progress.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify students’ strengths and challenges related to performance in the school environment
• Provide direct and/or consultative therapy services to school-aged students
• Supervise therapy assistants and collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers
• Participate in Evaluation Team Report (ETR) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school, state, and federal guidelines
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans focused on helping students succeed academically and functionally
• Monitor student progress, document interventions, and adjust plans as needed to ensure measurable outcomes
• Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, classroom accommodations, etc as applicable
• Perform other job duties as assigned
