  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned to each student’s needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families and MDTs to integrate therapy into the classroom.
  • Document progress and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Support development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing and self-care skills.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations and parent conferences.
  • Provide training to school staff to support curriculum access.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Occupational Therapist for the school year. We have the option for part-time of full-time positions available.

Hourly Rate Range: $42.00-$48.00 per hour

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ functional and developmental levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to each student’s unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom.
  • Document student progress, therapy sessions, and maintain compliance with state and federal documentation requirements.
  • Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and parent conferences.
  • Provide training and resources to school staff to support students’ access to curriculum and participation in school routines.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Ohio Department of Education (ODE) regulations, and school district policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current Ohio Occupational Therapist License through the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board.
  • Current or eligible for National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • School-based experience preferred but not required.
  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
