Job summary

ABC Therapy is hiring a School Based Occupational Therapist to provide in-person OT services across Medina, Summit, and Cuyahoga Counties in Ohio. You will evaluate students, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with educators and families to help children participate more fully in school and daily activities.

The role offers path across multiple districts with flexible employment options and a strong support system, including mentoring, CEU allowances, and professional development

Qualifications

• Master's degree or other qualifying degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Ohio Occupational Therapist license.
• Current NBCOT certification.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine passion for helping children develop independence and reach their full potential.
• Pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to identify strengths, needs, and barriers to participation in the school environment.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services and consultations to school-aged students.
• Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans based on each student's needs and goals.
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, school administrators, and other healthcare and educational professionals.
• Participate in Evaluation Team Report (ETR) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom accommodations when appropriate.
• Supervise therapy assistants, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with applicable school, state, and federal requirements.
