Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed mental health therapist for a school-based position in Georgia. The role involves providing assessments and counseling in school settings, coordinating with DFCS and juvenile justice partners, and ensuring all paperwork and treatment plans are up to date.

Qualified candidates hold an active GA license (LAPC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT) or are license-eligible. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have active Georgia license (LAPC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT) or license-eligible.
• 1+ years’ experience with severe mental illness.
• Strong computer, organizational and teaching skills.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessments, individual, family, crisis, and group counseling as per treatment plans.
• Collaborates with schools, DFCS, DJJ and Juvenile court personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Delivers billable direct services to individuals in school settings.
• Maintains charting and completes paperwork per policy and procedure.
• Develops group curricula and calendars for crisis intervention.
• Links with other agencies to obtain resources for clients.
