Job summary

PRO is seeking a School-Based Mental Health Technician in Williamsport, PA, to support students with behavioral health needs within the classroom. The role involves implementing behavioral plans, leading social-emotional groups, and modeling positive behaviors to K-12 students.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services and a strong interest in supporting children with behavioral challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services is required.
• Strong desire and motivation to work with children/youth with a behavioral/mental health diagnosis.
• At least one year of experience with children with behavioral challenges.

Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 7:45am-3:15pm

Caseload: K-12, Partial Hospitalization Program

What you’ll do as a Mental Health Technician

Mental Health Technicians provide behavior support to all students within the classroom, support individual behavioral plans and interventions, run daily social-emotional groups, provide direct behavioral instruction, and model appropriate behavior for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services is required
• Strong desire and motivation to work with children/youth with a behavioral/mental health diagnosis
• A minimum of one-year experience working with children with behavioral challenges
• Previous experience as a school-based Mental Health Technician is highly preferred
• Completion of the 40 hour RBT training (3rd edition task list) is highly preferred. A free course can be found through Autism Partnership Foundation.
• Current clearances (within 6 months); Safety-Care certification is a plus
