Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) seeks a Mental Health Professional to deliver school-based mental health services under general supervision. You will work with students and families in a community program located in Orangeburg, SC, providing assessments, therapy, crisis management, and consultations for teachers.

The role requires a Master's in counseling or related field, licensure eligibility, and the ability to collaborate with educational staff.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required in guidance, counseling or related field.
• Experience providing direct patient care, practicum or internship accepted.
• Licensure eligible in field of study.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical mental health services in a school setting to students and families.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and adhere to standards (HIPAA, CARF, etc).
• Provide consultation and training to teachers and school staff.
• Develop and facilitate services for caseload during school breaks to avoid lapse in care.
• Contribute to data collection and reporting of outcomes for school-based projects.
• Maintain medical records and clinical documentation meeting QA/CARF standards.
