Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a School-Based Medical Assistant Float to provide cross-site coverage within our School-Based sites. You will assist with registration, immunization maintenance, patient rooming, and back-office duties under supervision, ensuring smooth patient flow in a busy pediatric school setting.

Candidates should have completed a clinical Medical Assistant program (diploma or CCMA) or a registered apprenticeship and be equipped to perform phlebotomy and basic lab tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a clinical Medical Assistant training program resulting in a diploma or CCMA, or a registered apprenticeship program certificate.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for visits with insurance verification.
• Maintain and verify patient records and clerical workflows.
• Assist providers with back-office duties including medications and immunizations.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals.
• Foster outreach to school-based partners to inform services.
