Job summary

Pueblo Community Health Center Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant (Float) to join our nursing services team in Colorado. The role supports delivery of patient care and requires documentation in the EMR, vaccine handling, and potential phlebotomy at satellite sites.

New graduates or students may be considered. BLS/CPR is required, Spanish language skills are desirable, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance is required by law.

Qualifications

• A current Colorado License-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or graduate of a certified Medical Assistant Program.
• New graduates or students may be considered.
• Current BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Ability to speak Spanish is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance as required by law.
• Current certification or registration through NHA, AMT, AAMA or other recognized credentialing organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing team in delivering health care to patients.
• Follow clinical workflows and document in the EMR.
• Maintain vaccine storage, handling, and administration per policy.
• May perform phlebotomy at satellite sites as assigned.
• Assist with vaccines, medications, and emergency equipment stock as needed.
• Document all patient encounters in the EMR and manage inbox tasks.
