Job summary

PRO Companies is seeking a School-Based Licensed Social Worker (LSW) for Scranton, PA. This full-time, Monday–Friday role runs 7:30am–2:30pm for a 10-month school-year assignment servicing middle and high school students.

The LSW will provide individual counseling, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to set treatment goals, support behavior management and self-regulation, engage families, connect families with community resources, and maintain required clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Active Pennsylvania Social Work License
• Previous experience as a school-based LSW
• Strong desire and motivation to work with children/youth with a behavioral/mental health diagnosis
• Current clearances (within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic services to children and adolescents within the school setting to support their social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
• Provide individual counseling using appropriate therapeutic strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment goals.
• Serve as a resource for behavior management and self-regulation strategies.
• Engage in family outreach, connect families with community resources and supports, monitor student progress, and maintain required clinical documentation.
