Job summary

PRO Companies seeks a School-Based Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to support students in a Scranton, PA school setting. The role involves providing individual counseling, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and delivering family outreach and community resource linkage.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–2:30pm, for a 10-month term. A Master’s in Social Work and PA licensure are required, with current clearances within the last 6 months.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Active Pennsylvania Social Work License.
• Previous experience as a school-based LSW.
• Strong desire and motivation to work with children/youth with a behavioral/mental health diagnosis.
• Current clearances (within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic services to children and adolescents within the school setting.
• Engage in individual counseling using appropriate therapeutic strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop treatment goals.
• Engage in family outreach and connect families with community resources.
• Monitor student progress and maintain required clinical documentation.

What you’ll do as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).

The LSW will provide therapeutic services to children and adolescents within the school setting to support their social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. Responsibilities include providing individual counseling using appropriate therapeutic strategies and techniques, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment goals, and serving as a resource for behavior management and self-regulation strategies. The LSW will also engage in family outreach, connect families with community resources and supports, monitor student progress, and maintain required clinical documentation.
