Job summary

Youth and Family Advocates seeks a licensed or eligible clinician to provide individual counseling to students in school or virtual settings. This role includes completing assessments, treatment planning, and timely documentation while collaborating with families and school staff.

The position requires strong written and verbal communication, the ability to navigate IT systems, and a commitment to dignity, respect, and program-wide collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related human service field required.
• Preferred 2+ years post-bachelor’s experience directly in Human Services working with high-risk youth.
• Preference for licensed professionals (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, Psychologist) licensed by the Florida Board.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to assigned students and family as needed.
• Complete counseling documentation within 24 hours of sessions.
• Complete client follow-up and feedback to referral source per HIPAA guidelines.
• Ensure assessments, treatment plans, and reviews are completed timely.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and multidisciplinary team staffing.
• Establish positive relationships with referral sources and community providers.
• Observe students to develop and implement behavioral intervention plans.
• Provide emergency crisis support to school district personnel when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director/Leadership.
