Diagnostic Assessment Services, Inc. is seeking a Counselor to support students, faculty and parents with behavioral, emotional, and social needs in the academic setting.

The role includes school-based counseling, crisis intervention, and developing comprehensive behavioral plans and trainings. Requirements include a Master’s in Counseling or Social Work and active Texas licensure (LPC/LPC-A/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT) with at least two years’ counseling experience with youth.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas professional licensure (LPC, LPC-A, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Two years’ experience in providing counseling services to children or adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Counsel individual students and small groups presenting needs and concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention services.
• Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and others regarding intervention strategies.
• Conduct mental and behavioral health assessments and communicate results clearly.
• Compile and file required reports and maintain records.
• Adhere to policies, laws, and professional licensure in the school setting.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
