Job summary

Children and Families First Delaware Inc. seeks a School-Based Counselor to support mental health and well-being of students at Beacon Middle School. You will provide brief screening, individual and group counseling, and collaborate with teachers and parents to promote academic success.

Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, maintaining confidential records, and participating in multidisciplinary teams. Travel to trainings is required; full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field with clinical licensure preferred.
• License in appropriate field (LCSW, LPCMH, LMFT) preferred; LMSW acceptable upon hire.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health counseling for students.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents for student support.
• Maintain confidential therapy records.
• Conduct crisis assessment and interventions.
• Travel to attend meetings and trainings.
