Responsive Education Solutions in Texas is seeking a District Mental/Behavioral Health Counselor to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive guidance and counseling program for grant-funded campuses. You will counsel students to develop the academic, career, personal, and social abilities and address the needs of special population students.

Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid Texas school counselor certificate.
2+ years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive mental health guidance program for campuses.
Provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention.
Promote safe and supportive school climate through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
Coordinate wraparound services with campus staff and administrators.
Counsel individual students, small groups, and parents on personal and social development.
Ensure compliance with district policies and legal/ethical standards for counselors.
Travel to campuses as required.
