Job summary

QSAC, a nonprofit based in New York, seeks a Part Time COTA to join its Whitestone Day School program. You will provide direct OT-related services to children and young adults under an OT treatment plan/IEP, helping them participate in self-care, work, leisure and play.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the supervising OT, maintaining schedules, documenting progress, and upholding confidentiality while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant ( OTA ) program.
• Current New York State COTA license to practice.
• Experience working with people with autism preferred.
• 1–3 years’ OTA experience in a related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT-related services according to a written treatment plan/IEP.
• Recommend modifications to treatment approaches to the OT reflecting student needs.
• Collaborate with OT to develop appropriate plans for students supported.
• Communicate with team members, school personnel, and families under supervision.
• Develop and maintain a daily schedule including sites, students, and activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation with confidentiality and flexibility.
