Job summary

QSAC Education in Whitestone, NY seeks a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work with children and young adults. You will implement treatment plans and IEP goals under supervision of an OT at our Whitestone Day School.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited OTA program, hold a NY COTA license, and preferably have experience with autism. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a mission‑driven nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current New York State COTA license to practice.
• Experience working with autism highly preferred.
• One to three years’ experience working as an OTA in a related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct service according to a written treatment plan/IEP that the OT develops with the COTA.
• Collaborate with OT to develop appropriate plans for the students being supported.
• Communicate with team members, school personnel, and families under supervision of the OT.
• Maintain schedules and accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and flexibility.
