Family of Kidz is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to work within school districts across Long Island, focusing on Nassau County. You will collaborate with OTR/L to design and implement therapy plans for children and administer re-evaluations, with scheduling that follows the school calendar.

The position offers flexible or full-time opportunities, part-time by need, with comprehensive benefits for full-time staff and paid time off; NYS COTA licensure required; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current New York State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License (COTA).
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OTR/L to design and implement therapeutic interventions for all children on your caseload.
• Administer and write up occupational therapy re-evaluations.
• Ongoing communication with lead supervisors & coordinators related to case management.
• Maintain professionalism with families, school teams, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.
• Create and maintain schedules with assigned individual families/school personnel.
• Collect data on each IEP goal and report on progress quarterly.
• Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.
