Job summary

New Story Schools seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students ages 5-21 with autism and developmental challenges. You will provide individualized and group therapy under an OT supervisor, focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional independence.

Join a collaborative team of teachers and families to embed therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and track progress toward IEP goals with evidence-based approaches.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Experience with children or students with developmental, behavioral, or physical differences.
• Strong communication and collaboration to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to student success through evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group OT services under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement interventions to support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and independence.
• Support progress toward IEP goals with engaging activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to integrate therapy into classroom routines.
• Monitor and document progress; assist with therapy plan adjustments under OT supervision.
