Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students in a school-based setting, assisting licensed OTs with therapy plans that promote participation and independence across classrooms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and families, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with state licensure and district policies while delivering evidence-based pediatric interventions.

Formación

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in evaluating students' developmental needs under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans focused on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and coordination.
• Document student progress and adjust interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Support students during classroom tasks and adapt materials to meet diverse needs.
• Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions to foster social and functional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to reinforce therapy goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of student goals.
• Educate parents and educators on tools and techniques to support therapy outside of sessions.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and school district policies.
• Stay updated on current pediatric therapy practices and apply evidence-based strategies.
