Job summary

New Story Schools in Ohio seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver individualized therapy under supervision, focusing on sensory, motor, and functional goals. You will work with students ages 5–21 to promote independence and participation in school life.

Applicants must hold an Ohio COTA license and an associate degree, with experience serving students with developmental or behavioral differences. Collaboration with staff and families is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience with children or students with developmental, behavioral, or physical differences.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to evidence-based interventions and student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group OT services under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement interventions to support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and independence.
• Support progress toward IEP goals with engaging activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to integrate therapy into routines.
• Monitor and document progress, and assist with plan adjustments under OT supervision.
