Alexandria Senior High School (9-12) in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support the school nursing staff in providing daily living assistance to students with physical or cognitive needs. The role includes assisting with grooming, feeding, mobility, toileting, medication administration under the direction of the school nurse, and maintaining accurate records.

Applicants must hold CNA certification and CPR/First Aid, pass a background check, and complete

Competenze

Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from an accredited program.
CPR/First Aid/AED Provider certification.
Successful completion of a background check.
Completion of medication administration class within first 90 days of employment.

Mansioni

Assist identified students with basic grooming tasks and ensure clean, fastened clothing.
Assist with eating, including feeding support and oral/G-tube considerations as needed.
Assist with toileting, transfer, mobility, positioning, hygiene, and related supplies.
Support transfers between seated/reclined positions and adjust for comfort.
Aid ambulation with wheelchairs, braces, and mobility aids as needed.
Assist with medication administration under the school nurse guidance.
Provide positive behavioral support to students as directed.
Maintain accurate daily documentation of services.
Communicate with nursing staff, school personnel, and guardians.
Recognize changes in student condition and report to nursing staff.
Perform other duties as assigned by Nursing Coordinator or School Principal.
