CHRISTUS Health in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in a fast-paced unit. Under RN supervision, you will assist with routine patient care and clerical tasks to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patients.

The role requires a Louisiana CNA license, BLS certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Night shift hours are 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, full-time, with responsibilities that include admission/discharge support and patient

Qualifications

• CNA license in state of employment is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Meets expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies (Leader of Self/Others/Leaders).
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Completes pertinent documents.
• Prepares rooms for admission and adjusts beds.
• Assures patient belongings accompany patient during discharge.
• Safely transports stable patients as required.
• Maintains confidentiality when transporting patients and interacting with families.
• Cleans, procures and returns equipment and supplies.
• Run errands for the unit as required.
• Assist licensed personnel to provide a safe environment and replenish supplies.
• Treats patients according to care flowsheets and skills checklists.
• Identifies changes in patient condition and reports promptly to the nurse.
• Assists with stocking and inventory as needed.
• Keeps unit supplies organized.
• Responds to emergencies and team communications.
• Responds to calls and patient lights.
• Adapts care methods to patient needs.
