Job summary

Center for Human Development, Inc. seeks a full-time Child Case Manager to provide case management services to K-12 students within school settings and to support families and communities.

The role involves coordinating with schools, delivering pro-social and life-skills coaching, and connecting families with local resources, while traveling to trainings and regional meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human development, human services or a related field, or a combination of at least three years of relevant work/education/training in a mental health field with approval.
• Ability to understand and implement instructional methods with flexibility, creativity and autonomy.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
• Ability to work with a team of professionals and lay persons.
• Willingness to learn through in-service and outside trainings.
• Knowledge of interviewing and counseling/treatment techniques and parenting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to K-12 students in school settings, prioritizing Elgin and Imbler, followed by Island City Elementary and Central (LG).
• Co-facilitate family groups and connect families to local resources.
• Coordinate with schools and related programs and lead groups; communicate with schools re: behavior problems.
