Job summary

Rise Services, Inc. is seeking a Para-Behavioral Interventionist (Para BI) to provide direct one-on-one intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in school settings.

The role focuses on reducing maladaptive behaviors and promoting adaptive classroom strategies aligned with treatment plans. You will document progress, coordinate with the school treatment team, and maintain daily records.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma/GED (preferred).
• Pass the ParaPro PRAXIS exam or have 48 college credits completed.
• Must provide reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by RISE).
• Must provide or obtain MANDT and/or other de-escalation certification training (provided by RISE).
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one intervention to a child or adolescent with a developmental disability in accordance with the treatment plan.
• Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals.
• Collaborate and coordinate services with the treatment team in the academic setting.
• Provide daily documentation on the progression or regression of goals.
• Effectively communicate with teachers and other providers, and defer communication with families to appropriate school staff.
