Job summary

Merakey is seeking a School BasedBehavior Health Technician to join our Mount Union, PA team, providing 1:1 direct services in homes, schools, and community settings under evidence-based treatment plans.

Responsibilities include implementing intervention plans, tracking progress, and coordinating with families, schools, and therapists. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are required to meet caseload needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related discipline.
• Training and experience with family systems as well as experience working with children and their families in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Must hold a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• This position will work in Huntingdon County at Mount Union Area School District in Mount Union, PA.

Responsibilities

• Implements a behavior modification intervention plan developed by the family, school and Therapist.
• Intervenes as needed when the child exhibits problem behaviors.
• Interventions may include removing the child from the area, talking with the child about behaviors, accessing support of parents' procedures and implementing plan procedures indicated with the child, using the appropriate intervention technique.
• Maintains records noting progress and problem areas.
• Reports to Therapist on a daily basis.
• Attends training as required.
• Provides treatment services to families including skills training and education designed to enable families to become actively involved in treatment.
• Maintains regular communication with families, schools, physicians and other service providers involved with the children and family.
• Works flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in order to meet the needs of children and family's caseload. Merakey offers a continuum of care in behavioral health, integrating services in both community and site-based settings. These services provide a wide range of recovery focused treatment, services, and supports for children and adults.
