Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Behavior Health Technician in Latrobe, PA to provide one-on-one interventions in home, school, or community settings when behavioral interventions are required. The role targets the child’s needs as outlined by the treatment plan and involves working with a senior team.

Responsibilities include implementing interventions, collaborating with the treatment team, documenting progress, and attending required trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Two years' experience providing behavioral health services (e.g., previous experience as a TSS/BHT with another agency).
• Completed 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course.
• Completed college coursework in mental health, child development, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Works one-on-one with client(s).
• Implements a behavior modification treatment plan targeting recommendations from the psychological evaluation and developed by a senior level team member.
• Utilizes prescribed interventions as needed when the child exhibits problematic behaviors in each setting.
• Implements and models intervention techniques for members of the treatment team to stabilize the child or adolescent, lending support for family efforts to stabilize the child or adolescent.
• Collaborates with all members of the treatment team and professionals working in the home or other community settings, including the family.
• Documents behavioral and program data during session, from each environment; Maintains progress notes for every billable contact or per regulatory and program requirements.
• Maintains contact with case specific treatment team.
• Submits payroll weekly or as directed by supervisor; including all county specific paperwork required with weekly submission.
• Receives scheduled supervision from an assigned clinical supervisor
• Attends training as required; attains required training hours per fiscal year.
• May perform other related duties, when required or assigned.
