Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a Behavioral Health Service Clinical Specialist to support students with behavioral and mental health needs. The role involves direct counseling, collaboration with educators and families, and contributing to IEP goals across the district’s Special Services teams.

The incumbent will deliver evidence-based interventions, assist with FBAs and PBIS planning, and participate in multidisciplinary efforts to create safe, inclusive learning environments for

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health field; WA licensure required.
• WA licensure as LMHC, LICSW, psychologist, LMFT or equivalent.
• Experience providing behavioral health services to children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct individual, group, and family-centered Behavioral Health Service to students.
• Assess strengths, needs, barriers, and risk factors affecting school success.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions promoting self-regulation and social-emotional development.
• Support students in behavioral/mental health crises with assessment, intervention, and safety planning.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions based on data.
