Job summary

Primary Health Solutions seeks a Behavioral Specialist to provide school-based behavioral health services to students, working under the Program Manager to improve well-being and academic outcomes.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions, crisis support, and care coordination while pursuing licensure, collaborating with teachers, families, and community partners in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a closely related behavioral health field.
• Must be within six (6) months of obtaining eligibility for Ohio LSW or LPC licensure at the Bachelor's or Master's level.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or school-based behavioral health services preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based behavioral interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based behavioral health services to children and adolescents.
• Complete behavioral screenings and assist with biopsychosocial assessments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavioral intervention plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group behavioral support as appropriate under supervision.
• Teach coping skills, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, communication, and problem-solving techniques.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on clinical need.
