Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. is seeking a Project Director for a School-Based Behavioral Health Grant to lead a comprehensive school-based program across New Hanover County.

The role will drive the grant's day-to-day operations, ensure deliverables, and maintain compliance with reporting requirements. The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field, extensive experience in school-based mental health, and strong grant management skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
• Experience overseeing the implementation of school-based mental health programs and services.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery.
• Experience with program implementation, staff supervision, grant management, or project leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point person for the grant award and oversee all project activities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic plan to achieve grant goals and deliverables.
• Oversee day-to-day implementation of grant-funded programs and services within school settings.
• Ensure all grant requirements, policies, regulations, and reporting deadlines are met.
• Supervise grant staff and manage budget allocations and expenditures.
• Coordinate with schools, community agencies, and healthcare partners.
• Provide staff trainings and development to support program goals.
• Monitor program performance, data collection, and reporting.
