Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. seeks a Program Director (School-Based Behavioral Health Grant) to lead grant implementation across New Hanover County schools. The role oversees day-to-day activities, staff, and budget, ensuring compliance and outcomes in school-based mental health and prevention efforts.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed practices, data management, and coordination with partners to deliver effective services. Travel across New Hanover County is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience overseeing the implementation of school-based mental health programs and services.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery.
• Experience with program implementation, staff supervision, grant management, or project leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point person for the grant award, providing leadership and oversight of all project activities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic plan to achieve grant goals, objectives, and required deliverables.
• Oversee the day-to-day implementation of grant-funded programs and services within school settings.
• Ensure all grant requirements, policies, regulations, and reporting deadlines are met.
• Supervise and provide leadership to grant-funded staff and administrative personnel.
• Oversee grant budget allocations, expenditures, and adjustments to support effective implementation and compliance.
• Monitor program performance, outcomes, data collection, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare, review, and submit required grant reports and documentation.
